PRICE FOR A PATRIOT by F. Denis King could be a silver screen blockbuster

As an author myself, I review books I read I consider excellent or exceptional.  These reviews are posted on both my Site on the Recommended Reads page, on Amazon and other places.  The most recent review is for Price for a Patriot by F. Denis King.  The review is presented below (check out all of my reviews on the Recommended Reads page of my Site):

Price for a Patriot is an intriguing thriller full of surprises.  Author, F. Denis King, has molded a good read filled with suspense encompassing Army Special Forces, Columbia drug cartels, the Russian Mafia, the aftermath of Desert Storm in Iraq, the CIA and Department of Defense as elements for a bold caper filled with twists.  An American Green Beret is abandoned by America… listed as killed in action… as America pulls out of Iraq.  The abandoned soldier’s brother and past comrades at arms believe he is still alive… they plan and execute a mission to find and free him from captivity.

As an author myself, I was impressed with how well Mr. King structured a very complicated plot filled with action and intrigue.  About a third of the way through this read, I envisioned how exciting this novel would be depicted on a big screen.  I highly recommend the novel, and hope a quality movie producer takes the time to read this novel.

Program to a Men’s Group

On the evening of January sixth I had the opportunity to address the Methodist Men’s Club of the McCormick United Methodist Church in McCormick, South Carolina.  I found the twenty-seven men in attendance a pleasure to share an evening with.  Following a poor man’s dinner of hot dogs and beans and a short devotional program, I shared my experiences as an author.

I purposely did not take along copies of my novels to sell… I did not wish to make these men feel obligated to buy.  What I did do was highlight my road of becoming an author, provide insight to my inspiration for writing both THE BLANKET HILL INSURGENCY and BREAKING LIBERATOR’S SHACKLES, and an accounting of the research I am conducting for my next novel, TARNISHED VALOR.  A lively question and answer period followed my presentation.

To my surprise, during the five days following my presentation, there has been a run on sales for my novels at the three retail outlets for my novels in McCormick.
